 Millicent is a barrister specialising in European and UK Road Transport law with some criminal defence work in both the Magistrates and Crown Court. Millicent also has experience in transport-related civil law, including Civil Penalties and Civil Penalty appeals.

Before being called to the Bar of England & Wales in 2019, Millicent qualified as a Licensed Attorney at Law in New York under the Third Department, seated in Albany.

Areas of Practice

UK Road Transport Law

All aspects of Road Transport Law in respect of Operator Licences, criminal charges, and driver conduct hearings.

Millicent regularly appears in front of Traffic Commissioners at Public Inquiries and Driver Conduct Hearings. She is authorised to represent clients in all courts and tribunals in England & Wales.

 Criminal Defence

Millicent attends both the Magistrates’ and Crown Court on behalf of Operators and Drivers, taking them through any Criminal Prosecution before their inevitable appearance in front of the Traffic Commissioners.

Millicent regularly attends the Magistrates’ Court on traffic matters, specialising in exceptional hardship applications.

 Civil Law

Millicent regularly deals with civil penalties for national and international Hauliers and Drivers, where clandestine entrants are found within vehicles. Her work also involves the restoration of Border Force and HMRC seized vehicles and cargos, and Civil Penalty appeals to the Circuit Bench.
