New Venue for Office of the Traffic Commissioner for the North East

On 14 August 2024 it was announced that the North East base for the Office of the Traffic Commissioner is relocating from Harehills Leeds, to Quarry House Leeds.

The full address for the new venue is Quarry House, Quarry Hill, Leeds, LS2 7UE.

The old venue was also the DVSA Driving Test Centre in Leeds, the new building has been the DWP Headquarters for many years. The change is to take effect from mid-September 2024, the last Public Inquiry being listed at Harehills on 16 September. It anticipated that other venues around the city may be used until the relocation is fully completed.

The North East Office is not only the location of the Traffic Commissioner for Operator Licences held in this area, and the location for Public Inquiries, Preliminary Hearings and Driver Conduct Hearings, but also the Central Licencing Office.

Leeds is just one of the eight locations of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner alongside Cambridge, Birmingham, Eastbourne, Bristol, Golborne, Edinburgh, Caernarfon.

In Northern Ireland, the Traffic Commissioner works under the Transport Regulation Unit.
