Transport Manager Keeps Good Repute after Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry.

This Transport Manager, represented at Public Inquiry by barrister Harry Bowyer, made the usual mistake of remaining on the licence of an uncooperative operator for far longer than he should have done. At Public Inquiry we were able to demonstrate repeated messages from the Transport Manager to the Operator requesting access to documents – none of which were complied with. The reality was that whilst this was going on the Transport Manager was not in “continuous and effective control” of the operation and should have removed himself from the licence many weeks before he did. His repute was accordingly “tarnished” by the Traffic Commissioner but not lost.
