TfL Private Hire Driver Successfully Appeals Revocation

Our client, a TfL Private Hire Driver, was served with a Notice of Revocation which removed his Private Hire Licence. The allegation was based upon reports from an Operator that he had shared his account with another driver. Laura Newton represented the driver in bringing an appeal before the Magistrates’ Court. We were able to prepare evidence to show that the allegation was incorrect and highlight failings in the investigation which resulted in an unfair presumption that the allegations were correct. Appearing before the Court at the City of London, the Magistrates’ allowed his appeal reinstating his Licence and ordered that TfL pay his legal costs in full.
