Operator Requests Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry To Retain Licence

Barrister Helen Newbold represented this Operator, who had been advised by the Office of the traffic Commissioner that their licence was being considered for revocation following a DVSA maintenance investigation. A Public Inquiry was requested so that the operator could have the opportunity to address the Traffic Commissioner on the concerns raised by the DVSA inspection.
Helen Newbold took the operator through each of the issues identified by the traffic examiner and those raised by the Traffic Commissioner in the subsequent call-in letter. Applications were made, and accepted, during the hearing to satisfy some of the concerns raised and a number of standard undertakings were also agreed to. The culmination of which was that the Operator retained his licence and all his vehicles, his card being marked with a short suspension period.
