Kent Access Permit Prosecution Dropped

Our client was stopped by DVSA driving into Kent without a Kent Access Permit displayed in the vehicle. The vehicle was registered outside the UK. The driver received a summons relating to this incident for a failure to display a Kent Access Permit in a designated area. We were able to liaise with the prosecution prior to the Court listing and provide sufficient evidence to show that the vehicle had been stopped on a domestic journey, despite it being confirmed that the vehicle was due to leave the UK later that day. The prosecution agreed to withdraw the case without having to attend Court. An order was made for reimbursement of all the driver’s legal fees under a defence costs order.
