Formal Warning for PSV Operator at Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry

This PSV operator, represented by Millicent Dooher, barrister, was called for a Public Inquiry following concerns relating to the entity and regulatory compliance, both maintenance and driver’s hours. By the time the Public Inquiry was called, the Operator had implemented significant and effective changes to their compliance systems, but accepted that their business model was not compliant with the Interbus Agreement.

The Traffic Commissioner acknowledged that vehicle had previously been used in contravention of the Interbus Agreement, but the Operator was able to provide sufficient assurances that it would not be used in contravention in the future. The Traffic Commissioner concluded by issuing a formal warning but took no further regulatory action against the PSV operator.
