Driver has HGV Entitlement Restored After Being Disqualified Indefinitely at Driver Conduct Hearing

This driver had driven without a card, driven a truck that was not on an operator’s licence, lied to the DVSA and failed to turn up to the Driver Conduct Hearing at which the Traffic Commissioner was keen to discuss the aforementioned sins. As a result the presiding Traffic Commissioner revoked his licence and disqualified him indefinitely. He approached SBC some years later, a sadder, wiser man and asked us to help him get his HGV entitlement restored. He was represented at his driver conduct hearing by barrister, Harry Bowyer, who was able to show that the driver’s behaviour over the last few years had demonstrated that he had gained maturity and responsibilities since the offending behaviour  and that he had done much to restore trust in the eyes of the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. His entitlement was restored.
