Operator Granted Chance to Start Again with New O Licence

This Operator held a Standard National Licence but was using an unauthorised operating centre located in a different traffic area. The Operator’s defect detection and maintenance systems were woefully inadequate and the position was further complicated by the absence of a transport manager.

At Public Inquiry the Traffic Commissioner directed that the existing licence be revoked in due course, allowing sufficient time for an application for a new Standard National Licence to be made. The Traffic Commissioner also granted a period of grace to locate a new Transport Manager. In this way the business was given the opportunity to continue into the future.
