Operator’s Licence Granted Following Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry

Case called into Public Inquiry in order to consider the grant of a Standard National Licence. The Operator had a conviction for running an LGV without an MOT in force and the Operator’s husband had an unfortunate history of failed licence holding companies. The Traffic Commissioner was concerned with the Operator’s repute, concerned that she might be fronting for her husband and concerned as to whether the proposed Transport Manager could exercise continuous and effective control. Represented by Harry Bowyer at Public Inquiry the licence was granted subject to extra undertakings which distanced the husband from the management of the business.
