Operator Retains Licence Following Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry

This London-based Operator had a frankly terrible history. He was running 8 skip-wagons and was encountered by DVSA on an almost daily basis. PG9’s flew thick and fast! Simon Clarke was called to represent the Operator at the Eastbourne Public Inquiry. The Traffic Commissioner was persuaded, just, to stay his hand and give the Operator another chance. One of the main reasons for this was the Operator had acted in good time on our advice to improve his compliance systems and forward planning procedures. The lesson here is that, immediately following an unsatisfactory DVSA audit, or where you are seeing regular encounters and prohibitions, or upon receipt of a Calling-in letter, call SBC for early and effective advice.
