Driver using another Driver’s Card Suspended for 3 Months.

SBC represented this driver in the Magistrates’ Court and helped him self report to the Office of the Traffic Commissioner. He had had a a wheel blow on his trailer and had used a driver card left in the cab to get the vehicle to a place of safety. Using another person’s card is regarded by the OTC as more serious than mere card pulling and has a starting point of revocation and 12 months disqualification.. After written submissions from SBC the Traffic Commissioner dealt with the matter by way of a 3 month suspension.
