Scaffolder Keeps Licence at Traffic Commissioner’s Public Inquiry

Murray Oliver, solicitor, kept a 3 vehicle scaffolding operator on the road after a Public Inquiry. The Operator was called following an unsatisfactory desk based assessment and Maintenance investigation. By the time of the Public Inquiry the operator had made some effort to put things in order before the public inquiry and we were able to persuade the Traffic Commissioner to allow the operation to continue after a short 1 day suspension to allow for the drivers and directors to have a detailed training course on carrying out driver safety checks. Two vehicles were permitted to operate whilst new systems have been bedding in returning to 3 vehicles in early June.
